  • Prince Andrew once teamed up with the late Princess Diana to stop his brother Charles from becoming king, a royal insider has claimed.
In an excerpt from Angela Levin's upcoming biography on Queen Consort Camilla published in The Telegraph, a royal insider reveals how a plot was concocted between The Duke of York, his wife Sarah, Duchess of York - and the late Princess Diana.

Wow. I’m glad my brother is completely the opposite. In fact, if it weren’t for my brother spending time, money, & stress to care for me through a horrible illness/injury, I don’t believe I’d be alive. Despite all he sacrificed, any little thing I was physically able to do to help him out he met with voicing his thanks & appreciation for it. I’ll take family like that over all the wealth & power in the world.

Princess Anne has always been a wonderful and good support to her brother and he has been a strong support to her.
He was also a very good big brother to the two younger sibling.
Sadly, 2nd son syndrome has been alive in Andrew and is raging in the ginger prince.

Throughout history, the contention between "the heir and the spare" has been prevalent. It appears that the only one who wasn't resentful of the heir presumptive was the queen's father, then Duke of York, who later became George VI. It seems that he was happy to be the "spare," and was ready and willing to support his elder brother, had Edward remained king. How sad that today's royal second sons haven't followed his example.

@SiânThe two references from the Old Testament are not Remotely suggesting homosexuality. Jonathan was The Son of King Saul who intended to Kill King David out of pure Jealousy at various times. David and Jonathan were best friends. In the end Jonathan gave his own life to save David's life. There is no hint of homosexuality...but a BONDING of BROTHERS.
Ruth's husband, the son of Naomi, died leaving Ruth a Widow and Naomi lost her beloved son. Ruth's words to her mother in law were pure, without having any connotation of a sexual message. Ruth said to Naomi in part: "Entreat Me not to leave thee nor to return from following after thee...
Your People will be my People and thy God, my God." She was able to make Naomi understand that she loved her as her own mother and she would be true to her words.
Ruth wanted Naomi to see her as Naomi's own daughter. And as Naomi's child, Ruth was offering her Mother-in-Law a daughter in law who loved her as if she were her own daughter. She could certainly help Naomi to survive in a world where men were the bread winners and without Ruth's son, they both might not survive. It has been a long time...a very long time...since I memorized those passages. (am certain that there are errors but the crux of the issues are intact.)

As time goes on, William should be taking some important lessons here about how to raise his own children to be better grounded than what's happened in the late Queen's immediate family and with his brother, Harry. William's children need to learn early on if the monarchy is to succeed then they have to work together as a family to make it so. Perhaps the new way of looking at the monarchy is in a "What can we do together?" rather than "What can I do?"

Wise words…. but look around you, EVERY family does better for themselves when they work together, almost none do (save some Asian families). A family can afford a much bigger house/estate if they work together, people want their own apartments/houses. Then look at all the wasted income going for a thirty year loan instead of adding onto the family house/estate and making it bigger. EVERY Family would do better working together, almost none do….

@Gregory Horne I think the lynchpin is Catherine. She grew up in a "normal" home, with loving parents and two siblings. As the oldest of the three children I'm sure she had responsibilities, childcare and more. When William and Catherine were dating, he loved to visit the Middleton household---home cooked meals, good dinner table conversation, and freedom to be himself. I've read that he has a fine relationship with his father-in-law. William also knows what it's like to come from a home where fighting went on all the time, meals were eaten in his mother's bedroom in front of the telly while his father ate alone someplace else, and events were often planned specifically to avoid his father. Not a healthy background for raising children. I think the Queen also had a lot to do with raising him. On Sundays, when he was at Eton, he went to tea with her.
He'd spend a few hours there "learning the ropes" so to speak. From Catherine's strong family background to William's learning experiences from his own childhood, I think both parents now, more than ever, see the importance of raising their children to help one another and offer support.

    • Gregory Horne

I am sure William and Katherine will raise their three children to be fine adults. With the exception of the funeral coverage, the press leaves their children alone. Plus William and Katherine love and respect each other.

@WOT Arty Noobs Oh then why does Prince Andrew himself say it? In fact Andrew goes much further than this. Andrew has known Epstein since at least 1999 (the "early 90s" in Andrew's own words). Since then, Prince Andrew, by his own admission to the BBC, has visited Epstein at least 3 times a year since 1999. You do the math, sir.

    • WOT Arty Noobs
      WOT Arty Noobs 5 दिन पहले

Flight logs obtained by The Mirror show that in February of 1999, Andrew flew with Maxwell on Epstein’s private jet to the financier’s private island Little St James and then on to Florida. (First Visit)
In 2000, Epstein and Maxwell were invited by Prince Andrew to Windsor Castle and the Queen’s Norfolk retreat Sandringham where they took part in a shooting weekend.
In his Newsnight interview, Andrew insisted that Epstein was there as a “plus one”, adding “it was his girlfriend (Maxwell) that was the key element in this”.
In June 2000, Andrew and Maxwell were pictured attending Royal Ascot together alongside Epstein. The same year, the trio were seen at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.
The infamous photo showing Prince Andrew with Ms Giuffre and Maxwell is reported to have been taken by Epstein in March 2001 at what is understood to be Maxwell’s Belgravia home.
Ms Giuffre had claimed she first had sex with Andrew on the same occasion, while other incidents took place at Epstein’s New York home and on his private Caribbean island in the same year. (Last Visit)
Epstein was convicted to 18 months imprisonment after pleading guilty to prostituting minors in 2008. After his release in 2010, Andrew was photographed with Epstein in Central Park in New York. That's when he broke off the relationship.
Footage reportedly from December of that year, which did not emerge publicly until years later, showed Andrew outside of Epstein’s Manhattan home waving off a woman.
So that's only 2 visits to the island recorded by the press from the flight logs. February 1999 and late 2001.
One visit to New York after Epstein was released from prison in December 2010 to end the relationship.

First of all, there has always been animosity by Charles for Andrew because Andrew went to war and Charles was not allowed to. This same argument continued when Prince Harry was allowed to serve in Afghanistan (under strict conditions) whilst William was not allowed to as he was the 'spare to the heir'. William claimed that if his uncle Andrew was allowed, then as the spare he should be allowed as well. Only that was vetoed on security grounds. Probably one of the reasons why William dislikes Andrew and came to together with his father to persuade the Queen to strip Andrew of his titles. Andrew could have won in the court case against him as the woman that made it was a perjurer.
Andrew was also much better with the women. Charles was incurably shy and Andrew had no problem picking up girlfriends. Even when Charles found Camilla, he could never commit to her and that's why he married Diana (who was selected for him) because she had no history and therefore nothing to haunt Charles. Diana was a brood mare and Charles carried on with Camilla against Diana's objections. That's the way that Royalty has operated for centuries. Wives for the hereditary line and mistresses for the fun, but never the twain meet. Charles let Diana down and the fighting between the two spilled into the press.
I guess you could say that Charles showed his lack of suitability for the top job when he started processing the red boxes and Government ministers would start seeing the 'Spider Letters', notes from Charles about subjects that he felt strongly about. It seems that Charles did not know that his role was to listen, not to instruct. Something that his mother had perfect from the start.
Many people still believe that Charles should have been persuaded to stand aside for William. He's far too opinionated and despite his claim that he knows the difference between campaigning Prince and a Sovereign, there are already indications that he will use his position to influence matters such as Climate Change which would be a gross breach of his duty to stay out of politics.
I could well believe that some did discuss if it would be suitable for Charles to marry Camilla after divorcing Diana. They asked the same question of Edward VIII. The Queen probably felt that the RF did not need another abdication as she saw the grief it caused her mother and father. Her Majesty probably allowed Charles to marry Camilla to lay to rest the stigma of a Royal divorcee marrying another.
As for Andrew, he knew that he was no longer in the active line of succession. Whatever counsel Andrew gave the Queen was between them. Many members of the public also asked why the throne could not skip Charles and go to William as he seemed much more stable. I guess we will see in the next decade if Charles manages to cause a constitutional crisis. The first time he mentions Climate Change I expect that many will suggest that King Charles III should voluntarily step aside.

@Sharon King Charles III has NEVER SAID ALL FAITHS ARE THE SAME. He said that he wants to be "defender of faiths" that is the right of all citizens to have faith in the Divine. He remains a professing Anglican and worships in that faith tradition. The real problem is the vast number of the British people who have abandoned or are lukewarm to the Christian faith. It is the job of all Christians to re evangelize the population. The missionary field is now our home. We must use modern means to engage the populace, where ever they are on the journey of life, in the message of Our Saviour Jesus Christ. When we all start to live the authentic Christian life, it will attract people who are already spiritually inclined to believe in THE POWER GREATER THAN THEMSELVES WHO IS THE AUTHOR OF ALL LIFE.

Kind of hard to believe all of this when you look at the actual timeline. Diana was alive until late Aug 1997, when Prince William had turned 15 that June just before. Would Andrew do all of this to have a regency rule that would end in 3 years time when William turned 18 and could rule on his own? It hardly seems worth it. And how was he going to use Camilla to keep Charles off the throne if they were plotting all of this when Diana was alive? Previous monarchs having mistresses is NOTHING new at ALL! No one has EVER been forbidden to become king of England, or the UK, because they were unfaithful to their wife. Had Charles and Diana stayed married and Charles continued having his affair at the same time would be nothing to break some rule so that now meant he couldn't be king. History is FULL of Kings who did the same thing for their entire reigns.

I assume since the Queen was having so many problems with Charles & Diana at that time Andrew thought his plan would be welcomed by the Queen. Andrew was spoiled by the Queen but Diana also knew that William would be King someday which is probably why she kept him so close to her even telling him things that were inappropriate for a child his age. JH B 8 दिन पहले +3

Agreed. I didn't know the queen, never met her and only ever saw her in person one - from a long way off...and yet even I can tell you, that woman would have adhered to the hereditary principle. If you can just get rid of an heir you don't want in that moment, the entire basis of monarchy goes out the window. This is SO OBVIOUS that I have a hard time believing Andrew would think the Queen would ever go for it - which makes me doubt this story.

Always has been jealousy, avarice & greed between the heir & the spare. KCIII has a very long memory. Let’s see the drama unfold if PA gets kicked out of his palatial royal home. Then the saga continues in the next generation between the new Prince of Wales & EX royal “jus call me Harry”, except that he also brought a viper into the bosom of the BRF which is even worse. KCIII must taken action, once his official mourning time is over. God save the King.

I agree with you Joy. An older sibling likewise who's displayed inappropriate carrying and goings on against another sets a template amidst a family unit and as much as the assault may not have been directed against the sibling, felt and reacted or acted out towards. Some deaths just never disappear or will ever go away, as do family secrets neither.

It is very normal for this kind of problem to happen for a simple reason
Because it is the royal crown and everyone aspires to reach it
    As for the reasons?
    absolutely frankly
Prince Charles Khan has been his wife for years with another married woman
    selfish thinking
He had to be brave and choose Camila
It was logical for him to divorce Princess Diana
Even if it cost him to abdicate
He does not wait for Diana's death to marry Camilla
The death of the princess is closely linked to the idea that it is impossible to get rid of Princess Diana
So that Prince Charles can marry Camilla in the future
This rift in the history of the royal family will not be easily forgotten
But fortunately, the queen was old and tried to restore everything that the news tried to destroy
Today the amber or King Charles is old
This means that the idea of being accepted by society is more easily than if he was young or early after the death of Princess Diana.
Yes, we are human, so it is not wrong to make a mistake, but to treat a mistake with a mistake greater than it is this heinous thing
    Princess Diana is dead
Today, Charles is King, and Camilla is the Queen
Harry is mentally ill and devastated by his mother's death
And there is no glimmer of hope except Prince William and his wife Kate, who I consider personally the shining sunshine of this family that has decided to die from the many bad events that have occurred in the royal family

Bollocks ! It's not up to the Monarch to decide who succeeds them. That is laid down in the laws of succession which is not in the preserve of the Monarch to change but resides with Parliament. Unless it could be demonstrated to Parliament that Charles was in some way lacking capacity or had converted to Catholicism there was never any question of who would be the next King.

The word is envy. Come on, everybody here grew up dpeaking the English language. Jealous is evilly trying to keep something that is yours. For example, jealous of a wife or husband being friends with someone other than yourself, or not letting anyone other than yourself touch your car. Envy is wanting something that belongs to someone else. Like Andrew wanting a kingship that belongs to his brother. Andrew is evil in many ways. I wish he had been compelled to go through a court case for further exposure.

Well we only have one side of the story, and there are always two sides to every story. And the side we have is that of an admitted adulterer, who could have done the honorable thing, and not gotten involved with a married man from the start. Affairs destroy families.
And why is Camilla all of the sudden so quick to start airing dirty laundry, when the stance has always been "never complain, never explain"? Why now? What exactly does she hope to accomplish with this? The queen is now dead, Diana has been gone for 25 years, and neither of them can confirm or deny any of this. Diana isn't around to defend herself. It's in poor taste, in my opinion, to level this type of accusation at other family members one is which is a dead woman. I can't even imagine how William must be feeling to hear that his mother would have been involved in a plot against his father. The queen has just died, and now Camilla wants to start slinging mud, and throwing people under the bus. Bad form.
It's not as if Camilla herself has led an exemplary life. To think that someone who got to where she is by cheating on her spouse, and ruining not one but two marriages, would have the nerve to start this kind of gossip is just laughable.
One could say that Camilla plotted against Diana to get Charles all to herself, so that she could eventually become Queen Consort... 🤔 Oh, wait... That's exactly what she did!
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. And to think.... I was starting to warm to Camilla. Guess my instincts were right. She's no better than Megan.

Most people who’ve kept up with the War of the Wales knew about this aspect. Keep in mind, Prince Andrew and Princess Diana practically grew up together, noted they even played together as kids. Andrew likely saw the perks of being prince regent, but Diana saw the betrayal of being cheated on and listened to many “yes” people and didn’t listen to those who grounded her when she needed to. The combination likely was not a reliable group to rely on, and then there was the fallout of Diana and Fergie that soured things. Ironically the only ones of the original 4 to remain on good terms is Andrew and Fergie.

The marriage was a tragedy born of the ancient protocol that the heir's bride must be a virgin. What annoys me about the Diana worship/Camilla hate, is that for all her claims of being hurt and wronged by Charles adultery, Diana didn't hold back from visiting that hurt on the wives of the married men SHE had affairs with.
