  • Shadow Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Birmingham says the Albanese government needs to ensure Australia continues to “give all we can” to assist Ukraine in its military response.
“We have seen … President Zelensky reiterate to the world the type of request for additional assistance that has been made here in Australia by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Australia," Mr Birmingham said during a media conference on Thursday.
“Australia has been the leading non-NATO contributor of assistance to Ukraine, and we ought to remain so - we should be at the forefront of assistance to the Ukraine.
“Australia’s response to Ukraine’s call for more assistance should come swiftly, positively and generously.”

NO!! We should be at the forefront of taking care of our own business...not throwing money at Ukraine. It seems that our Government "thinks" the money they have, is "theirs to do with as they wish" it isn't...the Govt only has OUR money....Australian tax payer money. Charity begins at home . STOP "gifting" OUR money to Ukraine!!!

    • Sharpshooter
      Sharpshooter  8 दिन पहले

@Granny Annie It’s not comparable, China would have to order mass mobilisation from day dot, they would have to enact their civilian vessel clause which requires any civilian with a boat to take part in the invasion. The Taiwan strait isn’t a little river you can’t walk across it like Russia did.
